This edgy t-shirt dress is from Zaful!! When I first saw it on the website I was drawn to it because it was casual with a bit of roughness, and it could be dressed up. After I received my package, I noticed the date read 1986...my birth year! It was totally meant to be! 😆 I wore it for brunch with the fam last weekend and I felt chic, yet comfy. The perfect combo! It’s also a great piece for the fall!

Lately I've been thinking about how we sometimes miss out on the beauty that is right in front of our eyes. We get caught up with what we don't have, where we should be, or what we should be doing, and take for granted what we are experiencing. Sometimes, it takes those very circumstances in order for our purpose, our true essence, to burst forth. As ironic as it sounds, the symbolism of the concrete rose paints the picture that, instead of allowing our circumstances to stunt our growth we allow them to strengthen our resolve to bloom. So, as an ode to this yellow dress, I call this post the concrete sunflower.
